The Traveling Sedge

by Wayne Mumford on June 30, 2010

It’s getting about that time already. Traveling sedge time that is. Those large skittering meatballs that show up for the evening meal on many north country lakes trout menu.

This is a cool looking tie by Dave McPhail that should do the trick.

And of course the old standard, The Goddard Caddis.

Ah, those explosive attacks when these bugs are skittering across the lake surface at sunset! One of the summers finer moments.
