Search and Rescue recovered the body of an Ontario man on Thursday from Rock Creek after the man went missing from a capsized raft on Wednesday and apparently drowned. The man was fishing with a guide from Wise River.
Apparently the boat capsized on a log jam or debris on a rough stretch of the river above the micro burst area. The hazard, a wide fan of channels that break up the main flow of the creek was apparently not familiar to the guided party which went down the wrong one and ran afoul in the water below.
Two of the party, the guide and another man swam to safety while the victim who was wearing waders and no life jacket was last seen going downstream with fishing rod, head and arms above water. His body was recovered about mid day on Thursday a couple hundred yards below the accident site.

Most fishermen are too cool or macho to wear life jackets. Mostly because they think they will look goofy or they think they can easily swim out of any situation. Big mistake! I would rather look goofy than die any day.
