Thanks guys. Bud’s statement, “the joy you receive from their companionship is worth the hurt”, is absolutely true. The older I get the more I realize that most dogs would make perfect people. I used to chuckle a bit about older people and their pets but now that I’m on my way their myself I understand. I hope their is enough time for a couple more good dogs, I learned so much and covered so much ground with this one that it will take a bit before I can truly let him go. Enjoy them while you have them!

This seems to be one of the hardest situations to deal with in life because if you have never experienced the friendship of a good dog you won’t understand.But,the joy you receive from their companionship is worth the hurt.I always say its the last dog for me.But ,I always get another without forgeting all the others I’ve had.Hope everyone involved with this pup heals their hurt quickly.
