Well, that nice blast of light powdery snow over the last month has now been turned into a giant slushy. Anything under about 3,500 feet is condensing or melting into a big soupy mess. I’m not sure if I should wear waders, galoshes, or flippers. Some sort of amphibious craft would be handy too.
It’s supposed to stay in the mid 30’s for the week but cooling down at night. So that means snowy, icy roads in the morning, slush by noon. The upside is that it’s still snowing in the mountains, the lake ice which so far has pretty much sucked because of all the snow laying on top insulating a pretty thin layer should be gone and ready for a good freeze once the weather turns cold again.
So for now being outdoors is just a wallow in a miserable concoction of snow, water, mud and whatever else that was buried and forgotten about. Those feelings of guilt about vegging out on the playoffs, bowl games and stewing over the tying vise are more easily assuaged when it’s to butt ugly outside to do anything else.
